Hello fellow adventurers, and welcome to the ADVIS PLP community. I am the Director of Technology at The Haverford School. My work is focused on the delivery and maintenance of technologies to faculty, staff, and students. I have been passionate about introducing and supporting the use of technology in schools since the 1980's. I was working as a software engineer for UNISYS, and had an opportunity to teach our customer how to maintain the software system we had developed for them. It was a career changing event - I discovered my passion for teaching, and my quest to work for a school began. I've been at Haverford since 1995. From 1998 - 2006 I taught Computer Science (C++, Java, Alice), and this year I am teaching 8th grade Robotics using the Vex robotics systems.
I am hoping to learn from you this year, and would like to look at how we can lead our institutions in building our capacity as learners, on both the individual and institutional levels.
